Komodo trips by occasion: twelve reasons to book Vinca
Updated 10 October 2026
Vinca suits twelve kinds of trip, from a honeymoon to a graduation, each with its own cabin, route and add-on. A cabin on the open trip starts at IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person, the whole 6-cabin boat at IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067), and the dive-only traveller should look elsewhere.
Twelve occasions, one boat
The occasion decides three things on Vinca: which cabin you take, which route fits and which extras are worth the money. The pages below take each occasion in turn: honeymoon, couples, family, photography, corporate, adventure, groups, diving, solo, budget, luxury and graduate.
They group naturally. Honeymoons and couples are about the Western room and the sundeck. Families and groups are about rooms that sleep three or four and a long table. Photography and adventure are about the Padar sunrise, the drone and the legs between stops. Solo and budget are about the open trip. Diving is about what we do not offer.
Every page uses the same prices as this one: a cabin from IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person on the open trip, or the whole boat from IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067). Park fees are separate.

Couples and honeymoons
The Western room is the couple's room. It is a double bed with a bathtub and sea-view windows, on the main deck, for two. The bathtub test applies: if a bath with the window open is the point, book Western.
The honeymoon package is IDR 3,900,000 (≈ USD 239) per couple and includes a bed set-up, a bathtub set-up and a romantic dinner. A romantic dinner on its own is IDR 2,950,000 (≈ USD 181) as a minimum per couple. On a private 4D3N, a beach dinner at Sebayur is already in the fare.
A Western room is IDR 8,500,000 (≈ USD 521) per person on the open trip. Two people on a 3D2N charter pay IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067) each, which is why most couples take the open trip and add the dinner. One caveat on the balcony: it is a side-deck strip with a bench.
Families, groups and school-leavers
The Balinese room takes up to four, with a double, a single and an extra bed, on the lower deck. It has portholes and no balcony, it moves least, and it is closest to the engine. Children under 3 travel free, accompanied. For a family it is the practical room, at IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person on the open trip.
For a group, the whole boat is the better sum. At fourteen guests a 3D2N works out to IDR 7,860,000 (≈ USD 482) each, and at 18 it is IDR 7,220,000 (≈ USD 443). You choose the dates, the route and the guest list. The long table is where the group forms, and the lounge has a karaoke set.
A birthday is IDR 2,000,000 (≈ USD 123), with balloons and decoration. The sums on the charter page cover every group size from two to 18.
Photography, adventure, diving, solo, budget and the splurge
Photographers: the Padar sunrise falls around 06:18 in July and 05:31 in November, the bats leave Kalong about 15 minutes after sunset, and the open trip includes drone, GoPro and mirrorless coverage. A drone permit is separate.
Adventurers: the 3D2N has a sunrise climb, a trek with rangers and a drift snorkel in current. Divers: we are a snorkel boat. We carry no compressor and no tanks, and we are the wrong boat for anyone who dives.
Solo travellers: the open trip is the way aboard, though the rate sheet prints no single supplement, so ask first. Budget: a Balinese room at IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) is the lowest price aboard, and a full boat of 18 comes to IDR 7,220,000 (≈ USD 443) each. For a splurge, the bathtub, the crew of 7 and a beach dinner on the 4D3N are the points.
FAQ
Which occasion page should I read first?
Start with the one closest to who is travelling, then read the rate card. Couples read the honeymoon page, families the family one, and groups of ten or more the groups page. Each uses the same prices, from IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person for a cabin or IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067) for the whole boat.
Can I combine two occasions, like a honeymoon with a birthday?
Yes. Add-ons are priced separately, so a honeymoon package at IDR 3,900,000 (≈ USD 239) and a birthday package at IDR 2,000,000 (≈ USD 123) can sit in one booking. Tell the desk when you write, and mention dates so that the decorations match the night you want them.
Is the boat suitable for a corporate group?
For up to 18 guests on a whole-boat charter, yes. The long table, the lounge and the sundeck suit a team. A 3D2N charter for the largest band is IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748). Wi-Fi is local only, with no satellite link, so plan for three days mostly offline.
Do you have an occasion page for diving?
Yes, and it says plainly that we are a snorkel boat with no compressor and no tanks. Divers should look elsewhere. Snorkellers get the Manta Point drift, Taka Makassar and Pink Beach on the 3D2N, from IDR 6,950,000 (≈ USD 426) per person.
